WinMX still works for me, with no updates

I've been using v.3.53 with no problems. Pie Patch 3.1.2.9 (from 2006) and PG2. Why should I update or 'why fix it if it ain't broke'? Win xp. Please inform me -

You still using a quill or playing your movies on a betamax machine?

Whilst i'm sure the old patch is still ok, it is somewhat limited for the following reasons:

1. It has limited number of caches and is not automatically updating, therefore any changes to the caches (they do change a fair bit) could mean you will be left not conecting.

2. The use of PG2 and the various p2p list can cause a variety of problems, for starters pg2 uses a signifcant amount of your resources and the hugly over bloated lists are both unreliable, and often counter productive. On several occasions Winmx caches have actually been incorrectly added to lists used in PG2. In addition IPs that are no longer any threat are not removed from the lists, these ips can then be reassigned to real users meaning the chances are you may be blocking legitimate users. (In fact some of the lists are so huge, you are blocking half the civilized world most of the time.

3. The lists such as bluetac p2p lists and others offered by other Winmx groups are often very very quickly out of date, meaning as industry flooders change IPs you will be left susceptable to flooding and fake files. The new Winmx community patch has its own built in blocking protection, that is Winmx specific backed by a group of users that detect new flooders and add them to the list, at the same time removing inactive Ips, this list is automatically updated in your patch giving you maximum protect with least hassle.

4. The old patch does not automatically filter fake files from your search results.

5. If you are running a primary connection you are likely allowing various flooding companies to use your bandwidth to flood the network and attack others connections.

6. The new patch has standardized community support and is backed by V44, Mxpie and Winmx World.

Hope this is enough reasons, i'm sure if thats not convincing enough i could come up with a few more.
