I've been trying for a few months to get help on how to set up my files where when one is in use it will go into queue so i won't have 4 or 5 people uploading the same file. When they do they more or less cancel each other out. Will someone please help? thanks Earl

if i understand what you are saying, you only want 1 person at a time to upload 1 file.

the only way you can do this is to limit your upload queue to 1. otherwise, if you have 2 or more slots, 2 or more people can upload the same file. HOWEVER - unless you are on a pre-historic computer system, this really shouldnt be a problem, as most computers these days can esily achieve enough thruput to satisfy cable and dsl bandwidths.

What i'm trying to find out is how to queue indivual files like you see in the search mode where a file will be say 6 in queue or 20 in queue. That's what i'm really trying to find out. As you can guess i'm a novice at this. Thanks Earl

you cant queue individual files, only people.

if you have 3 upload slots open, and 3 people want the same file, they will get the same file at the same time

Earl, I've found that if I allow 4 uploads at a time, and lets say all 4 are different files, and that the average upload speed is 14k/s each, it will STILL be the same speed if all 4 uploads are uploading the exact same file from me. This seems to happen a lot whenever a new movie comes out and everyone wants the same file(s). At least that's what I've found; I never really thought about it much.
