Who next?

Postby Vladd44 on Thu Sep 18, 2008 2:18 pm

First it was Bear Stearns, the Fannie and Freddie, Lehman down the tubes followed by AIG.

I cannot say I am surprised at what is happening, but the speed has taken me off guard. I thought I had another year before Freddie and Fannie were in this condition.

Some of these companies survived our last major depression, but not this time. They didn't even make it to the party.

How bad do some of you expect things to get?

Or is the sky not falling?
Jewish Kid: Is anyone else having problems concentrating on this? I just can't seem to concentrate.
Cartman: Maybe we should send you to a concentration camp.

I caught the end of the news here this morning and they mentioned the stock market was recovering on the back of some news from the US about writing some debt off?

I am always suprised when large companies go under, for me a large part of it is simply poor management, and this certainly seems on the outside to be exactly that. As for whats going to happen now, well, who knows?

insert here <> any moron that thinks money is infinite and credit goes on forever.
guess that covers 99 percent of the lot.
My only hope is that the gvt lets the dead get buried, im not particularly delighted that im now an investor by force.
If these idiots cant figure out how to collect money for free and make a profit doing it, goodbye, and good riddance. America and the rest of the world have no use for them.
Maybe they should move to China.
Bejing is used to making up stupid ideas and enforcing them at gunpoint.

I think this would be a wonderful idea: http://newsbiscuit.com/article/geldof-l ... lummet-370

Let's see if all those countries we gave money to are willing to give some back.

It would be a much better idea than what GW & Company are doing.
