Warning letters to 'file-sharers'

Virgin Media has sent about 800 letters to customers warning them that they should not be downloading illegal music files via file-sharing sites. :sosorry

Thats an obsolute joke, what proof have the BPI supplied the isp with? What business is it of the isp to determine the important factors such as:

- has the BPI got any evidence?
- is the evidence valid?
- has it been legally collected?
- have a law even been broken?

ISP's are NOT judges and as such should in NO way be sending out such letters. There is only 1 way an ISP should be in anyway getting involved at this level and that is at the order of a court of law, end of.

When will these stupid media companies realise their business model is dead, evolve or be gone!

The only surprise here is Virgin are dumb enough to take it, but then again, they do own a chain of CD music stores.......
