VULNERABLE PROBLEM - MOVIE FILE FOLDER CLOSE AUTOMATICALLY !

Postby sammiel on Mon Jul 24, 2006 10:09 am

Good day to everybody ! I really need help from everbody in this forum. I been always DL movie file in WinMX from different users and use to DL a lot movie from one of my best friend in WinMX.

Recently, the problem was arrised, when I try to view movie file DL from my best friend, the real player or Window player cannot play the movie at all and the movie file folder shut down automatically and the player either too ...

When I open the movie folder again, the computer was hang and I have to use CRTL + ALT + DEL to solve the problem. The movie file even can't transfer, copy and burn to VCD at all. But other media file inside the same disk can open and burn into CD like audio and picture and no such problem at all. I also scan with AVG and Stinger from MacAfee, seems like ok and no virus or threat affected.

The most important thing is I noticed is all the movie file I DL from my best friend have such problem and cause the folder shut down (this never happen before after I been DL so many movie file from him) but other movie file DL from other users in the same folder can open in any media player and the folder never close at all.

I sencerely hope that you all could kindly help me to solve this problem before I have to re format my pc in the final choice coz' I realize the movie will gone also since can't transfer or copy at all.

Thank you in advance !

Best regards,
sammiel

First of all, try disable (pre)view of web content in folders.
Open explorer, from the meny chose Tools, then Folder Options. Mark Use Windows Classic Folders (disable web content).
That should enable you to view the the content in the folder without any trouble, as a starter.
Get connected!
Stay protected!

Go to Gspot.com and download for free GSPOT, then run the file through that. It will tell you which audio and/or video codecs the movie needs to play correctly.

This will also show up fake files so u can get rid of them.

Once you have identified which codecs you need, if they are not already on your system (Gspot will tell you if they are), then google and download the codecs needed.

Good Luck.

I am so glad that got 2 replies from the kind user - skinnydipboy and unique. :D

I been tried the way your all shown me but the problem is inside my video folder, all movie file (DL from other user) can open thru real player or Window media player but all the movie file (DL from my best friend)cannot open at all thru Real Player or Window player, the folder will shut down but can open thru VLC player and the folder also will shut down automatically, this only happen particularly for those movie files DL from my best friend and this was not happen before coz' I been DL so many movie files from my best friend and already burn into VCD successfully.

Most important thing is I really suspect may be the Window OS is disturbing coz' recently I found out my OS is not legally after automatic update the Windows Genuine and knew that my OS is counterfeiting ..

Please help me to solve this problem ...
