Vodei Problem

I have been experiencing difficulties lately playing video clip files (.AVI) on XP, after recently uninstalling "the scam" it seems to have corrupted my .AVI
On windows media player 10 it tells me that "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found"
but i had the codec anyway and was playing .AVI successfully before i download that f***iNg vodei junk.

Can some1 suggest a remedy for this please? Thanks in advance

I'v looked through the threads but i can't seem to find anything on solving this problem, have i missed something perhaps another link would help.

I am finding it hard to understand why i cant play any new avi files that i download on WMP with the required codecs i had previously. Vodei is really f**ked shit up since i downloaded it. It feels like an annoying virus can you help me....
