I am totally embarassed ! I need help. I recently downloaded a movie and when I try to view it I get the sound of the movie but no picture. The messasge reads dv3 images not avaliable decompressor not found. What ? Help please!

sounds to me like you need codecs (compressor - decompressor) 
for the player you are using. Go here and download the NIMO codec pack http://vladd44.com/nimo2.html

a great FREE program to tell you exactly what CODEC is needed. Never wonder why again - ps, it also tells you if you have the codec installed
