hi i wonder if anyone can help with this - i have a video card with svideo out - why cant i plug it to my tv and watch mpegs and avi movies from my hd. do i need a special piece of software? i can use it to play games but media player shows a bank screen i have a radeon 9000 card

u see where u choose display? and u have to enable tv? i assume u got that far.

there are 4 buttons, (2x2) and the one on the top left is active on monitor? (looks almost like a mono color bullseye) click it on the tv section. and screen on monitor will shrink, and then u can play movies.
