video files

i have a dvd player which is compatible with cd.r and cd.rw but will not play the video files i have burnt off with nero from win mx.can anyone tell me why they wont play.

Did you burn your files as a VCD, or did you burn them direct as am avi or mpeg? Most dvd players, with the exception of the really cheap ones, will read VCD format.

when i put them in cd player it shows them as wrong disc.

u still didnt answer the ? ..

did u burn cd as a data cd? or as a vcd?

i burnt the cd as data.i only seem to have 2 options on my nero burner audio or data.i how do i find vcd option or do i need a more up to date nero burner.

What version do you have, nero has had the vcd option for a long time.

If you have the wizard enabled, choose other cd formats...and u will see vcd there.
