unable to open file

As a new user to bt I have a small problem I think,I downloaded the bt program and downloaded 2 movies from supernova.org.

Both times I selected a place to add files,both folders contain 2 further folders called cd1 and cd2,inside these folders contained files called vcd-tdatr.

I assumed they were probably rar files as half of them ended in .r,once winrar was installed it turned 30 of the apox 50 files into rar icons all named vcd-tdatr1 >>however the other half are stilled numbered ie 30-50,I used winrar to extract all files which it duly did and all 700mb of it but it gave me an unkown icon with the name of the movie and ending in ts1,properties of the file say its an avg update file renaming or trying to open with players fails,please explain it for me if you have a mo

Well vcd should be mpeg1, did you try adding an .mpg extension? Make sure that your computer is showing extensions, to do this (at least in XP) open MS Explorer, go to Folder Options, click on View and make sure Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.

You can also try checking it with AVICodec (codec identifier) to see if it will recognize what filetype it is, you can get it here:
