Torrent Will Not Play...Please Help

Postby Some Local Loser on Fri May 13, 2005 12:48 am

i downloaded a concert from bittorrent today and i can't figure out how to play the tracks...i've tried winamp and realplayer, and looked in various FAQ's but nothing seems to have the information i'm looking for...i'm a novice user to bittorrent, and not exceptionally gifted computerwise...i would appreciate it so much if someone could offer me help on how to get the tracks to play

thank you to anyone in advance

.torrent is not audio, that would be a torrent which would need a bittorrent client to open, and download the actual file(s)

i tried opening it with 'btdownloadgui'. i then got a message that said "BitTorrent Error. This is not a valid Torrent file (not a valid bencoded string).

when i look at the properties of the individual concert tracks, it says they are "SHN files", except for one track which is a "MD5 file". however when i look at the properties for the whole concert, which is in one folder, it says the concert is a "TORRENT file"
