TMPEnc Plus Problem

Postby Mo Fo on Fri Jul 23, 2004 8:55 am

I hope you can help me,
I am converting an MPEG File in TMPEnc, to DVD Pal.
Now when converting, at exactly half way, the preview pauses on one frame then carries on copying the rest of the file with this one frame. So I end up with half the movie then the rest of it is this one frame. Please help
Thanks

Sorry, i thought I replied yesterday, but I guess it didn't take.
It sounds to me like you have a file that is corrupt or at least has a bad frame.
Run it through Divfix and check for errors, you might need to cut out the bad frames if that's the problem, but how much of the movie that will cut, whether it's a split second or a few minutes depends on the corruption. But first try just analyzing it, maybe it's just an indexing error

I have run it through Divfix but it just comes up with an error message saying it is not a valid avi file. Is there a way around this or another program to get rid of the bad frame?

Are you converting it or authoring it to dvd?
