Sometimes when I burn a SVCD to DVD it comes out being a much smaller viewing area than the tv screen. If I try to make it widescreen, it becomes even smaller.
I don't know what you mean by "burn" an svcd to dvd. Are you encoding (converting) it to dvd format? Or burning a straight copy of it (as data). What program are you using, etc.
It sounds to me that the file has not been cropped, but when that actually happened is not clear without more info. And you can't just try to make it widescreen, the aspect ratio needs to be what it should be originally, you can't just stretch a fullscreen picture to be widescreen and vice versa.
Please give some more info, and also clarify if the SVCD original is also "much smaller" or not.
