Slow dl speed

I know you have heard this before, but my download speeds are horrible. (most of them start at dl time: 1 week and then it will jump back an forth from 1-3 days) The icon on the bottom/middle of the screen has gone from yellow to red and back to yellow several times. I have tried to forward ports but all the ones I use come back as not open. I'm not sure what else to try. Any ideas?

Im not sure i understand you, what icon are you referring too?

I think you will need a trip to the help room for some one to one assistance.

Please can you let us know, what patch your running, what operating system you have, what ISP and firewall/router?

I am running BitTorrent 6.0 (build 4747) No patch that Im aware of, I just redownloaded it the other day. Windows Vista. RoadRunner ISP. Netgear WGR614v7 router.

I took a look at everything again, and now I'm downloading at 4-10Kb/s. That's kinda slow when I see that my regular internet downloads are around 90Kb/s.
