I use ABC (another bittorent client) and torrent reactor, with an adsl connection. My normal download speeds are around 18kb-20kb p/s. I would be very grateful if somebody could help me speed up my downloads which average around 5kb p/s with bittorent.
It may just be the torrents you are downloading. Torrent speed depends on how popular the torrent itself is, if it doesn't have too many participants, it will be slow. Also, if you are not uploading, you will not get much bandwidth and the bittorrent demons will breath fire on you and your children . Also, ports need to be opened for that particular client to work properly if you are behind a router or other type of hardwear firewall.
It's quite possible. Make sure there is an exception for that program in your windows firewall, and open the ports for the program. I believe windows firewall blocks ports by default.
I'm using ABC torrent client, torrent reactor as the sorce, with port open, no upload and i'm sitting around the 5kb/ps. Maybe i nedd to upload as well????
Well guys I am buying some new super fast broadband (1500/256kbps) and some new adult material and see if that increases my download speeds. My limewire pro downloads at 20kbps so with a faster connection speed it should help.
