skipping an asf format file ?

does anyone know how can i skip the file say in the middle and playing it ? when i use window media to click it, it just run where it starts from..

If I understand you correctly, you want to begin playing a video file not from the beginning, but from the middle or someplace else. Not all formats allow you to do that, although most do. Asf, however, is a buggy format in itself, it's a Microsoft video format (I understood from the topic that your file is asf). Try using a different media player and see if that helps.

You can try something like bsplayer or zoomplayer (which are free), or try any players you have. I can't help much more, because I try and avoid asf files if at all possible.
