RMVB video file

Hi, I have downloaded several video files in the format of RMVB/ Realmedia VBR. However, when i try to use Nero to burn to VCD. I get an error message.

Is this some kind of a codec problem? I can played the video using my real player.

nero uses the standard windows codecs (whatever codecs windows has installed) like most programs, so if you can open it with windows media player, nero can read it - but if you cant, nero cant read it... having said that, there may be a plugin for nero to read them, you'd have to google though...

when downloading video's in future if you have a choice between real media files and standard (avi/mpeg) files - go for the standard ones, real media files are nothing but trouble, and i wont even get started on the player... lol

You can also get Real Media converters and just convert it to avi... Here's one, you can dl rm (RealMedia) converter from the Tools section at www.rita.LT
