T. B. Bechtel, a City Councilor from Newcastle, was asked on a local live radio talk show, just what he thought about the allegations of torture of suspected terrorists. His reply prompted his ejection from the studio, but to thunderous applause from the audience.

HIS STATEMENT:

The rumour appears a couple of different ways, either it it was claimed to have been said by an Aussie or a Texan.

I suppose if they claimed it had been said by a Brit or a Canadian, nobody would have believed it.

So true...mainly due to the fact that Brits and Canucks get a little bit squeamish when it comes to things such as torture or the death penalty...the Brits would rather just dump their convicts on an island or "across the pond" in Canada so that they can call them "loyal subjects" a generation or two later and just tax the royal shit out of them. I'm not real sure what the Canucks do with their murderers, rapists, terrorists and what not, probably send them to councelling or something...I'm sure that a little jolt to the gonads to loosen the tongue would never cross their "civilized" minds...LMFAO

BTW Mick...there ain't but one "U" in rumor...
