Ran across this article the other day and figured it was worth noting.

A group of religious zealots that not only want to control what their students do on their watch want to do the same on their own time.

A kid is going to the prom with his "sinner" girlfriend who attends a different school. Her school is just not up to their holy standards and is going to have dancing.

If he goes, the school has said they will suspend him....AND prohibiting him from attending his graduation ceremonies.

Praise those christians.

Really? thats disgusting, i cant beleive that school is going to allow dancing? Whatever will they do next? Teaching students real subjects like Maths and Science? Shaping the next generation into intelligent well rounded human beings? Its a disgrace, call the Arch Bishop, better still unleash Gods fury upon them!

Suspended for the shameful acts of dancing and hand holding. I guess that should teach him, next time he will not be so quick to hang around females with such lax morals.

When the school committee, many years before I became the principal, set up the policy regarding dancing, I am confident that they had the principle of fleeing lustful situations in mind. The question as I see it is, should a Christian place themselves at an event where young ladies will have low cut dresses and be dancing in them?

Instead we think it much more appropriate for Christian boys to wear dresses and spend much time on their knees looking up with gapping mouths.
