Problem with VirtualDub

Postby dabusrider on Wed Mar 22, 2006 9:13 am

I hope someone can help me with a problem I've having trying to merge two avi files together.

I select the first part, choose full processing for both audio & video, but when I select the 2nd part, I get the following error:

"Cannot append segment [name of 2nd avi file]: The audio streams do not share a common sampling rate.

First stream: 00006ea6 / 00000001 = 28326.00000 samples/sec
Second stream: 00006eff / 00000001 = 28415.00000 samples/sec"

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

I would use V-Dub to re-encode both separately to new avi files .. then merge them. 8)

Thanks for your help, Joe. Forgive me, but I am new to VirtualDub (else I wouldn't be here asking for assistance in the first place ). I scanned the help file but I cannot see where this is documented. Is there a web page that shows how this is done, step by step?
