Sorry I dont know what OS means.

Well its always gone slow, and I havent installed anything new. I have Verizon DSL and a D-Link AirPlus Router. And Im using a Lap top, if that makes any difference.

os = operating system

Need more details than that:

1. Operating system ie. Window 95,98,2000, XP etc
2. What firewall are you running?
3. If Xp is the windows firewall running?
4. Who is your ISP
5. Could it be there are few or no sources to connect to?
6. is other sortware ie. Winmx etc running ok?
7. Are you running a router? If so are the correct ports allowed?

need answers to all these, but so far from what you say, it does sound like there are just no sources to DL from, have you tried DLing a very popluar file, with loads of sources? this will indicate if my theory is correct or not.

1. Operating system ie. Window 95,98,2000, XP etc - Windows XP
2. What firewall are you running? -im using the XP firewall
3. If Xp is the windows firewall running? - Yes
4. Who is your ISP - Verizon
5. Could it be there are few or no sources to connect to? - That is very possible
6. is other sortware ie. Winmx etc running ok? - I dont know what Windows MX is
7. Are you running a router? If so are the correct ports allowed? - Yes, but I tried to allow the ports, I just dont know if I did it correctly.

I also started to download a very popular torrent that had over 1000 seeds, and I got up to 10-12 kib/s. I still think it should go faster than that though.

Oh, I forgot. I also heard there was a way to speed up your download times by making the upload speed to 80%...or 20% I forget which. How would I do that with bittorrent3.4.2?

Im using Bittorrent 3.4.2

Thank you for the link, but I have two more questions.

What do you put in for the IP adress when forwarding the ports? Do I just put my IP adress in it? Because it wont let me leave it blank.
And also I ran out of space for ports while I was forwarding them. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y295/jiffyjimbothe3/WAZA.jpg
Are there any ports I can delete? Or any way I can make more room? I followed the link you gave me, here were the instructions. http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DI-524/BitTorrent.htm
Thank you
