please help, need help with album wrap mp3

Postby Chris on Thu Jan 02, 2003 7:13 pm

I downloaded an albumwrap mp3 from winmx but it only plays the first song - even after I extracted other tracks individually through albumwrap extractor (and I am using Quick Time Player)! Is something wrong with the albumwrap I downloaded or am I doing something wrong?? Please help me!! thanks!!

kind of a shot in the dark.

1 - is it a real album wrap ?
2 - after unwrapping - do the other songs play at all ? or are they blank ? fakes do exist
3 - try a different mp3 player - i assume since you are using quick-time, that you are on a mac. there are many players that will work on albw's. and many that dont seem to play them correctly.

I'm not using a mac! I'm just using quick time because it said somewhere to use that with album wrap extractor! When I extract all of the album at once only the first track will play - but when I extract the tracks individually in any kind of order they all play but they play the same track which seems to be the first track! I also tried windows media player and real one player and they wouldn't play it either! Also when I try to burn it to a cd it only will burn the first track! Any ideas??????????

without looking at the file myself, i would say someone wrapped the same song over and over again, since when you unwrapp it, it contains the same song.

for what it is worth, i have found dbpoweramp able to play all types of wrapped files, be it a true albw or an entire album extracted as a single track. this program is free, and may help, but i have a few friends who do not like it and said it caused problems on their system. check it out if you want and as always - enusre your system meets the requirements for it.
