Playing AVI Files

Postby pile_driver_1000 on Wed May 14, 2003 6:53 pm

Someone please help me! I can't play the majority of the AVI files I download. I get the error message "WMPLAYER HAS CAUSED AN ERROR IN MSVFW32.DLL. WMPLAYER WILL NOW CLOSE." I don't know if this is related or not but I tried to play some other AVIs that I know work and it said something about "VIDS:CVID" & a "Decompressor". I don't know what to do & I am limited to only downloading MPEGs.

try looking here sounds like a damaged or missing dll

the other half of your question sounds like a codec issue to me google this >>>VIDS:CVID

hope this helps
Canadian? Sign the petition. Let Ottawa know you want to be considered and that you don't want your rights to be abraded every time the music industry's profits slip a little.
