Playback problems!!

I have just downloaded some movies. When I open Widows Media player to play them it wants to go online!! How can I play them without going online!!!!!!! Surely they can be played without the need to do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will I ever be able to use Winmx with ease????????????????

WMP does that even if you have the codecs installed - just tell it "NO" and if it doesn't play movie try another player.. mplayer2 in "Run" box will get ya the classic - VLC will play 'bout anything without codecs installed. All the codecs the other players need are available here :wink:
