U can use pglite (which is stripped down, easy to use version of PeerGuardian) here instead : http://www.blocktards.com/p2p.html

I know its annoying when you post a topic about a problem with a program your running, then some tard replies "mine is working fine".

Well I happen to be one of those tards.

My PG is working fine!

I don’t like PGlite cos you cant see what its doing, you just have to trust that its doing its job, where as with PG you can see what’s going on.

I find life easier on my computer when PG is running 24/7, and it’s also great for blocking fake servers on eMule.

Protowall from http://www.bluetack.co.uk/forums/index. ... =02&qid=31 is a viable option as well.

Things to check if you have problems with PG2: make sure you're using the right version.
Do not use the Win64 version unless you have Windows 64-bit.
If you have Win 2k or XP, use the NT-based version, otherwise use the Win9x version.

And beaver, if the guys at Methlabs are such retards, please shower us with your genius and write a better program.

Sorry Subhuman, I was very pissed that my PC was freezing up. Even my close personal friends @ MicroCRAP ( and their wonderful BUG FREE programs) haven't done that for a long time. German Joe sent me a PM . In it he said that some of the lists should be deleted. I haven't gotten around to re-installing PG2 yet, but I'll give it another try. I apologize for my tard comment. Thanx for the help.

isn't http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/level1.gz the list that currently has Sabre and Rock blocked as anti-p2p?

We've been trying since November to get Rock off that list.
For the record, they don;t have a problem with him- they have a problem with his ISP. His ISP has a history of allowing all kinds of nasties to use them and changing IPs at will once they've been found. Bluetack feels (not entirely incorrectly) that the only way to keep the bad sites out is to block all IPs alloceted to that ISP.
They have a point, if IPs are changed without input from the customers, Rock could very well wake up one morning with a new IP and a virus distributor at his old IP.
So, for now, the best solution is to add his IP to an allow list.
Sabre was on the list for less than two days due to confusing the company that owns that IP block with another company with a very similar name. That problem is now resolved.
Progress may still be seen with Rock's IP. I made the initial request to remove him last year. Last week a Bluetack admin posted:
A bit late , but WinMX has caught my interest all of a sudden.. Is this block causing much of a problem ?

Savvis is not the most trustworthy webhost by a mile , but I think we need to make compromises sometimes when legit IP's end up on the wrong side.

So it appears progress may still be made here.
Although there's no effect on the PIE patch with Rock's IP anymore, I still think he deserves to be unblocked and hope it gets resolved in his favor.
