Well, i listened to Obama's Inauguration speech, i hope he really does a good job, but did anyone think his speech sounded not unlike Bush's first speach? I felt Obama had a big chance today to start with some change, buck the Inauguration speach trend and get down to some nitty gritty right there in his speech, but alas he was no different to any othe i've heard. I hope his promise of change is more than just hot air.

Wierd though, 44th president of the USA just got Inaugurated and not even a sarcastic remark from Vladd44, nor a yahooooooooooo from DR?

On a side note, i presume you all heard about the plane that was landed on the Hudson by nothing short of a brilliant bit of skill from the pilot? Anyone else notice how they managed to pin the blame for the accident on Canada. I really think Canada should keep their geese in order.

Obama is rapidly becoming more and more difficult to distinguish from both Bush and McCain.

The fundamentals of the economy are strong.

If we are keeping focused on all the fundamentally sound aspects of our economy, all the outstanding companies, workers, all the innovation and dynamism in this country, then we're going to get through this. And I'm very confident about that.

The fundamentals are sound in the sense that the American workers are sound, we have a good capital stock, we have good technology.

Pretty interesting how things change when it goes from running to being president. All of a sudden a much worse situation has become what a better situation 6 months ago was not.

I guess he was after trying to bring every stereotype of personal greatness to the forefront he has started to run out of people to emulate.

The Lincoln thing has run it's course, He wouldn't look good in a wheelchair so more FDR emulation is out, And the press just doesn't allow him to set up white greek columns before filming him.

I guess for a vain man who is more about flash than substance words don't mean much at all.
