Newbie needs help because she is over her head

Ok, I have Bittorrent++ and it works fine but I just downloaded a torrent and it has a MKV file end. How do I open that? I'm really confused. I have real player, Windows and Divx player. What do i do now?!? Please I'm sooo confused
