new computer now i cant connect

i previously had winmx but last week i bought a new computer since the old one died. now i am having problems connecting. i am now running windows vista and made the firewall connection but the program is still telling something about a connection not being seen and something about running on a different port. can anyone help me out i have been running winmx for about 5 years now and love it and dont want to have to switch programs.
