well if you know the right web sites you'll never have to pay for software. some guy told me about a japanese website once that has all the software you can think of. but i forget the address.

Sure, but that would be a Nero "demo," which will work until the expiration date...

Which answers the question asked, of "where can i get a free download of nero". Nothing was said about getting a key to activate or remove the trial period.
