Postby DanHen on Thu Dec 25, 2003 7:51 am

Hello, more movies i dld has length bigger than 700 megs-so it's impossible for me to burn it. Is any tool for change length of movie? I wan't split this movie for two or more cd's, i wanna burn it on ONE cd...
Please take any suggestion, but, if i can please, no link on web site, but, if possible, take name of program which can make it. If this solution is possible with VirtualDub, please, write how i can do it, cause i can't find solution of change length in vurtual dub
Thnxs for cooperation

1. How long is longer than 700mb?
a. Overburn should give u at least another 18 megs of space on a 700mbcd.
b. 99 minute/850MB cds cound be another option. Those can also be overburned at least another 20 megs.
Jewish Kid: Is anyone else having problems concentrating on this? I just can't seem to concentrate.
Cartman: Maybe we should send you to a concentration camp.

when I say longer whan 700 mb, i mean
longer than 734003200 bytes or longer than 716800 Bbytes or longer
than 700 Mbytes. overburn is no possibly for me, cause my disk-writer
doesn't support it. The same thing are media larger than 700 mb, my writer refuses it. I use Nero 6 - I mean this software is good to know large media and so. It's the only explanation-my disk writer is poor, so I return to the basic question: any tool to change length video file without loose of quality....????
Thnxs more for cooperation!

If there was a tool for doing this those who discovered it would be millionaires... It is what the authors of Miscrosoft video encoders, DivX and others have been trying to do for years - compress a file with no loss of quality...lol Unfortunately, it's not feasible and there is no such tool (not yet, anyway). You can try using an avi trimmer like MaxSplit to chop off a bit of the credits if it's just a tiny bit. (I assume it's an avi, as an .mpg can fit much more than 750,000,000 on a 700 meg cd.) Other than that, I would use an avi splitter to split it to two cds. Are you really that worried about spending an extra 50 cents?
