i cant connect or get on the chat & i have done everything i was supposed to do

Hey jay13, what is the sentence u see on the left of yr Ignored button at the top of yr winmx (the Ignored button is the one with the red circle on it?) <<< pls answer this ... it is the 1st step to the troubleshooting process.

k u shd be good. If u r trying to connect on 2ndary connection, they take some time maybe 15-20 mins. If u still can't connect after all that time find me on yahoo or msn and I talk u thru it.

OK I tried to uninstall and install all of the directions according to the info I was given from the Vladd room. Before I started the uninstall I was able to get into the room and get the instructions. After I followed the instructions I got to the manual Update part and got the following message:

Error while updating HOSTS file. Please make sure that an internet connection is available and the file is not marked read-only. Path/File access error

I have repeated the process several times and still the same message. Also I can not get into the support room to ask any questions because I can not connect to the point of joining any room. I can not ask question. I downloaded the software from the Vladd website and nothing else seems to be a problem.

What do I do now?

Sorry about that - my computer hiccuped and I did not see anything submitted - since this is a laptop - I never know if it really worked when the submit button has been hit and it often does not show anything has been pressed - makes me feel like a total doe doe when I end up with three times what I intended!!
