MXPie Patch 3.2 Released

MXPIE Patch for connecting to WinMX is now available. Only change from previous version is the removal of one IP that no longer has a functioning peer cache server at that address.

Every time i update my patch its a pain to get everything working right again.
Will there ever come a time when when we stay with a patch, or will this continue ?
I love the winmx network and hope we can keep it running.

installing a new patch shouldnt affect the operation of your winmx in a negative way at all.

Patches have to be updated from time to time in order that the server lists stay current, Gypsyblue. Any problems that you encounter with a patch can be solved here in the forum. We have a lot of good people who are dedicated to helping users get the most out of WinMX. Also there is the Vladd44 Help Room if you need help right away and don't want to wait for a post in the forum to be answered. Just enter Vladd44 in the filter on the rooms list and click on the Help Channel.

If you are using the light background with dark text mode of WinMX the space to the right of the filter will be white and any Vladd44 room you enter there will be someone to help you reach the Help Channel.

Having a problem with D/L Pie Patch 3.2.When I click install I get a error message (Error in Windows system directory,no host file found.Cannot continue.Any suggestions would be appreciated.TIA

The host file is what u need 2 use the net. Go here : http://www.vladd44.com/mx/piepatch.php , do the 8 steps under the subheading : "To manually install the Pie auto updating patch". U should be fine then.

R u using WinMX version 3.53? They can let u join rooms whether u can list rooms or not.

And this room Vladd44 Help Room_BDC5A4DE411C is special cos it is Ouka so u don't need to be connected to WinMX to join it.

U r probably firewalled and yr firewall is not allowing u to make any connections to anyone else' comps .... I will pm u my yahoo and msn and we work on getting u connected to other comps from there.

I believe I am having the same problem or my routers are not allowing me on I have 3.54 beta 4 with the new patch and still cant connect but my internet provider came out and changed my connection to pppoe connection. Please help me!!!!

Hi, I am also having trouble with the connection for WinMx..When i do dl the patch it works, however, every so often it just starts trying to connect again..Even when i restart or anything it wouldn't connect anymore. I would have to re dl the patch over and over again.Whenever it starts trying to connect again I would re dl it..or even when i refresh the network.

if possible can yah help me through this? and see what's wrong..

Why dont u use hostnames instead of ip's then if a ip needs to change u dont have to keep updating a host file, and give Pie users the chance to dl somethin else other than patchs

True, with the hughe hosts file you never know if the download is finished before or after you clicked the download button.

i have just the problem, can't get rooms to come up or after they have been pasted even come up, just had cable company install router so i guess i need help with a router code...email....spacecoastdeliveries@yahoo.com
