multiple torrents coordinating dowloads of the same file?

I downloaded most of a show via a torrent from a site that does not support reseed requests. Now the seeder has dropped off and I am stuch at 95.2% done. I can find other torrent files for the same show, but the initiate downloading of the show anew! HELP! How do I get a new torrent file to just resume the old (partially completed) download?

if the files are a hash match....

stop the new torrent, copy the exact name(s) of the files.
Delete it.....(the new one not the one you want to finish)
rename the old file to the newfile name, and move it to the location of the new file.

Reopen your bittorrent client, and it should re-check, and then continue where it left off.

It would be wise to do this with a copy of the old file rather than the actual file, this way if something goes wrong, you dont scew up what you have, and can try plan C....
