April, it works best when whole body is cast in cement first, except the mouth, if you block the mouth, you don't get that satisfying "glug, glug" as it is sinking.

If you only do a portion of the body, it has the nasty habit of decomposing to the point of breaking away and surfacing somewhere, not a desirable result if you want them to disappear forever.

Also, encase the body in plastic before-hand, and add a few bottles of HCl with organic stoppers, a couple of liters should do the trick. This will dissolve the corpse inside the bag, and leave a mostly-empty cement shell, cute trick for making coroners scratch their heads if the shell is ever found.

kewl, however, I can see some ppl screwing it up and really f**k their machine up badly, I suggest ppl make a complete backup before trying it, and I don't mean just "important files". If this is done wrongly, and someone doesn't have an XP OS pack handy, they're kinda screwed. Most machines that come with the OS already installed, don't include a personal key with them, they are just "licensed" vendor versions, and the vendor (company they bought the machine from) would be the one with a key for it.

Just a word of warning before anyone tries this.

Hamachi looks interesting, Joe...but how would it help us? Are you suggesting moving the entire community to Hamachi? Or just using it to share files one to one among peers who have Hamachi installed?

Just offering an alternative to WinMX. I doubt it can completely replace MX but it's growing quickly (from 2 million to 3 million in last 2 months). If MX's days are numbered (as many believe) no harm covering your ass. 8)

Do you know if Hamachi has a chat side, Joe? I didn't read any information about that on their site. I couldn't agree with you more about having a lifeboat handy for when/if the ship goes down. I have already been exploring some possibilities such as Filetopia, it looks user friendly and has a chat side that "feels" like WinMX and there are already some old WinMX users there. As much as I hate to admit it, because I thought that the WinMX that was would bring both sides to a spirit of cooperation in order to assure the survival of the program, that KM will not stop until he either controls WinMX or destroys it. Myself, I just want to get back to sharing files and having fun with friends. f**k all the drama and control plays.

I have Hamachi set up (simple to do) but haven't actually used it yet. In configeration there are settings for Chat Window, Sounds, Logs, and something called a "Sniffer Window" (dunno what that is but will find out one day) so I'm guessing answer is yes. We tried Filetopia many moons ago but it was very CPU intensive so all I have left from that one are the sounds (good). Many of the big-time file holders swear by oDC but again, downloaded but not yet tried. I have these plus many more on standby (WinLop looks good too.. multi-source capeable version of Lopster). When I cover my ass, I cover my ass! :ghost:

LOL...know what you mean. I run WinMX, Morpheus, BearShare, Limewire, Filetopia and a couple of others. That way I always find the files I want and have an "ace in the hole" for when/if KM decides to kill WinMX. I, also have found Filetopia to be CPU usage intensive. I think it may be due to the encryption system that they use, but am not sure on that. I haven't heard of oDC but will check it out, thanks Joe.

Hey Joe,

I've been playing with that new program WinMX MP3 4.2...have you tried that one yet?

http://www.sharewareplaza.com/WinMX-MP3 ... 39098.html

It doen't have a chat side though just chat with host you are browsing or downloading from.
