lowering upload rate

How can you lower your upload rate with bittorent?

I forgot, also, how low/high should it be lowered to?

I always have alot faster upload speed than download speed. Not to mention the fact that I have forwared my ports but my downloads still go very slow with a decent amound of seeds.

Limit upload to 85% of your total capacity. That allows for the extra bw needed for the transfer overhead required for acknowledgements.
