You probably need a no-cd crack for swat, look in the files that you downloaded with the game there's usually a folder called crack that contains what you need.

The rar archive you extract. If there is more than one rar file start with the first one and they will probably continue on their own, leaving you with an .iso file. Then use Nero to burn the iso image to a cd.

Nero doesn't recognize your dvd drive? Have you checked for updates on their website? By the way, I'm not sure on ps2 games but you may need something special to play copied cds, such as a chip or certain software.

Copy the swat4.exe from the crack folder and replace the swat4.exe in the swat program files directory (where ever you installed the game) with the copy. That is a typical no-cd crack.

Dial-up and/or hi speed settings make no difference when connecting, the setting is just there to let other users know what kind of connection you have.
As for not being able to connect properly, try reading this>

If none of this helps you, I am sorry that I don't know more, please be patient, someone with more knowledge than me will try to help you soon!
Good luck!

I have 2 DVD Burners and when I open Nero 6 Express on the initial page (Pulldown at very top) it asks "What recorder would you like to use?"..there are 2 choices for each burner, either CD or DVD. I imagine you have 2 choices & you need to select CD or DVD. 8)
