thanks for the information. have not used winmx recently, has alot changed? im not getting any seconday connections.

If you are set to primary and you are not getting any secondary connections, this would indicate your ports are not correctly forwarded. If you need help with that, please visit www.portforward.com or post back here with details of your set up.

You must also ensure you are running a blocking patch, please confirm which patch you are running.

Well, winmx 3.54 and pie auto updater will not be the cause of your ports being blocked. Please let us know what router and firewall you are using. Experience says its almost always the router though. No matter how sure you are you have the ports forwarded, check, recheck and check again, i would strongly recommend you visit http://www.portforward.com , select your routers make and model from the list and then winmx, and follow the instructions to to the letter.
