What I meant is this: I use graphedit, I follow all the steps written down by toejam.. Everything is going fine.. until it's time to press play in graphedit.. The moment I do this.. I get that pop-up from vodei telling me to register (since it's trying to play the video-file). I know I should be pressing 'later' at this point but my vodei is timed out so I can't proceed and all I get is a 64KB file which I then delete since it's worthless.

wow. then its the vodei mp you are having problems with. I thought it was for free. I suppose its for a couple of days only. I'm good at following instructions. but how to crack the vodei mp is beyond me. Maybe someone out there will provide the solution.

i'm having the same trouble... when i first downloaded vodei i was stupid enough to think it was free... well i figured it out pretty quick and have been trying to crack it ever since. however it's timedout and there's nothing i can do about that. :(

I seam to be able to follow all these steps correctly, but now my computer can't seam to play sound from MP3 or AVI?

Sound works fine from other sources such as DVD movies, windows start up and shut down etc.

Anyone encountered this? All I get is blank audio, even if I try and play other MP3s I have had for years.

When trying to do this with Vodei 2.0 do we use the dummy file from 1.09 or not?

So the problem I am having is this:

When I double click on the "dump" filter I get the message that says:
the filter could not be created. resources used by this filter may already be in use.

the specified module could not be found.
(return code: 0x8007007e)

So I get the graphedit screen with all of the joined boxes except for the dump box. When I hit the play button i get the vodei register screen stating that vodei mp registration required. the later box is greyed out so I can't click that one. if I X out the vodei dialog box and hit the play button again the same scenario plays out again.

For me everything works fine until recombining Audio and Video.
I don't get any audio added to the video.. which is strange because i followed the steps from first to last point without any problems at all.

I was wondering what will happen if I don't have the "dump" filter and is there anything else I can use in place of the "dump" filter

You can get the Dump-filter from here http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/audio-extract.htm

But it doesn't seem to work for me.

In some way it seems like the files i write from the Dump filter gets corrupted...
When using the VirutalDubMod it says that my .mp3 (created from dump) is 3 hours long when it's 54mins...
Also when looking at "File/File Information" it gives the correct data for Video but none for Audio.

Something is not right with the .mp3 created from "Dump" or else I'm doing something seriously wrong.

Thanks for help..!

Hi guys, i have been following the vodei problem for a while now. and i have finally found a way to remove this piece of shit software from the movies without any loss of audio nor video..... and it coulnt be easier....

first you need to download JetAudio (www.jetaudio.com for trial)... now, the features that we need from Jet Audio, require payment... so you can either Pay for jet audio, or look for a crack...

when jetaudio is installed and payed for /cracked, go to start> programs> jet audio> jetaudio tools> Video Format Converter to AVI...

look for the vodei source movie and select an output directory and ur done!! if jet audio is payed for/cracked u should be able to decode the whole film...

for those who want to try it, without cracking jet audio or buying it, you can still try the video conversion but it only makes 30 seconds of video... Still worht a try to see if it works..

so if anyone else gets this to work dont hesitate to post it here 8)

Hi all

I have a movie saying it needs VOdei 2.00 newer.

I tried the graphedit method. all were fine but when pressing the play button I didn't got the movie but the message it shows when trying to play the file without vodei.

I guess this method doesn't work on Vodei 2.00 movies ?

I'll try the Jet audio method too

I just tried the Jet Audio method.

It doesn't work too

The program does not recognise the movie but the 5 seconds message it produces an error message.

Hullo, I've followed this thread's instructions, both older and newer (with the split conversion) however the blasted output files will not play.

I keep getting the error "Class Factory cannot supply requested class"

Any one got any ideas on this? God I hate this bastard.

For info, vodei had damaged the registry keys for pretty much all my avi playing files. I reinstalled the klite code pack and that identified what had been broken.

It's just hassle. Annoying, silly hassle.

followed the steps listed -- kept having the same problem (I'd hit the play button and only get a small file) reinstalled windows and vodei 2.0, followed the steps and so far it seems to be working. Using the virtualdubmod really helps the process of recombining the audio and video with no trouble. I'm through about 7 of em' right now. f**k YOU VODEI!

p.s. I can see why people have problems, this GraphEdit is hard to work with (prone to errors) however, now that I've got it I can get around them.

raymer wrote:DO you mean that when the software(vodei) times out, you can no longer use the graphedit to fix infected files ? Or does the "cured" file no longer works? The way i see it, graphedit uses vodei mp to read infected files. Then converts the file to its own avi file that is no longer infected. So once "translated" you can view the file using any other media player anytime. But when the vodei times out, graphedit looses its "translator" so it can no longer write its own file. Maybe the solution is to find a crack for vodei mp so that it wont time out. (I had an infected vodei mp avi file. burned it to a cd and tried playing it in my dvd player and got nothing. When i used toe jams advice, i got a clean avi output, burned it to another cd, and when i played it in my dvd player, it played. it works. consider that the dvd player does not have vodei mp installed in it)

Exactly. When "vodei" has decided it's had enough (whenever that is?) first- it will give you the option to register. At this point I've also noticed that files that I attempted to strip will no longer run through virtualdubmod. The files that are rendered have poor audio (or just freeze) This is unlike the ones that I've rendered before the vodei begins locking the file. They will still play, if you hit later (but that will expire pretty fast). I'd imagine that stripping them which is probably a form of playing them sets off the vodei counter for max plays before it locks the files. Ill just have to reinstall windows (considering I don't know where its registry entry is), and keep on chugging along with 6 or 7. [/u]
