how do i join two xvid files?

Postby biglalu on Mon Sep 04, 2006 3:29 am

hi guys, I've a question for you!

I've tried to join together two xvid files (the movie is cut in two avi parts) with my own virtualdub but this one crashed saying
"couldn't locate decompressor for format 'xvid' (unknown). virtualdub requires a video for windows (vfw) compatible codec to decompress video. directshow codecs, such as those used by window media player, are not suitable"

ok, and now? what i have to do? which codec i have to install in my pc?
do the movie quality change with a different join operation? grazie

You can get XviD CoDec here (look down left side):
http://www.rita.lt/
*Note: before you install it you should go to System Properties and uninstall any old version of the XviD codec
