Hooking up auxiliary speakers

Postby Trudy on Tue Mar 21, 2006 8:44 pm

Can anyone tell me how to hook up my stereo speakers to my computer to play my winmx music?

use the line out from your soundcard, and connect it to an aux in on your stereo.
Jewish Kid: Is anyone else having problems concentrating on this? I just can't seem to concentrate.
Cartman: Maybe we should send you to a concentration camp.

If I already have my PC speakers plugged into my computer, what do you mean by line out from my soundcard?

Just to add to the previous...I had this hooked up a long time ago. I was told how by a great person from the Winmx forum before the "encounter"!!! My PC speakers and my stereo speakers worked at the same time. Since then I have reformatted and upgraded from Win98 to XP. I know I had one jack from my stereo phonograph as I don't have an auxiliary. I have a Dell computer and I have a black, green, red, blue and yellow jack. I have my PC speakers hooked into the green. I just don't know where to plug into with my stereo jack. This is very frustrating but I feel I am close to solving this little dilemma.

This is related to Winmx how??
I am editing this post so that you will know the reason I asked that question. If you wish to make personal judgements on individual posts (you being, you know who you are) then by all means do not move one post that you feel is not MX related that has everything to do with MX regardless of whether it's a dream or reallity. Make your judgements fair and across the board. I have followed this post quietly for a few days now and I believe it was originally posted before my recent post that you were willing to move to the Cesspool because you claimed it was NOT MX related. If you simply wanted to move my post because you believed it would be inflamatory then that is something you should've at the very least discussed with me via e-mail OR post before doing so.
Basicly all posts on this sight are discussion related. I apologise for this post but my point is if you're going to do something then do it for the right reason but by all means at least give someone the respect they deserve.
the first step to moving foward is looking inward

WinMX Forum is for anything Help related. What is Help related? Any tech help needed concerning a comp. Could be hardware, Leechammer, QuickMX, MxMonitor, or even sound systems like this one. Just if it ain't video which goes to video section or burning/installation which goes to Burning/Installation Forum. But yeah I guess it can go to Audio Issues tho it isn't exactly audio ripping and playback :) But I will move it to Audio Issues anyway :)

Moving to Audio Issues Forum ....

Yr post Nooky was simply debate and ofc does not belong in the WinMX Help forum. Like what V pointed out ... that link u gave wasn't even in their site's WinMX forum, so why the big deal of it having to be in ours? Think about it. I moved it to Cesspool bcos it was debate but since u guys find it does not belong to Cesspool it was moved to p2p where it's more suitable for it since it is after all a p2p issue.

If u go to more forums, u will find it is standard policy for admins to move posts when the location of the posting is not in line with that forums's policies (and give u a pm that it was moved*)

*optional some forums do that, some don't.

All this drama on where yr post was moved and not a shred of discussion on how to help Winmx on that particular thread of urs only reinforces the right decision I made of moving it from WinMX Help Forum to Cesspool where it deserves to be in the 1st place being a rant and nothing more. But I am glad it is now in p2p 2 :) I agree enuff have been said of this matter no need for further ranting on this forum on a closed issue. I hope u can stick to yr original intention of wanting to help WinMX and show yr thread for what it is worth. Not simply drama but to actually have some use to it.
