game downloads ??

My daughter has a game cube ( I think its called ) by nitendo and you put CD looking discs into it to play different games .Can these discs be downloaded and burnt? I have a CD and dvd ( I think ) burner

http://thepiratebay.org/ there is a games area there and no doubt many other torrent sites, i think they are just dvds, but i dont have time for games so have no experience of burning them
