* In my opinion, is integrated better than ANY Linux flavor out there. (All 3rd-party apps and data are installed to /usr/local, Linux has a tendency to scatter a lot)

* It's easy to learn on, and comes with a plethora of packages for desktop, IM, etc.
* Very secure system.
* For novice users, available as PC-BSD and DesktopBSD.
* Less restrictive license than GPL.

I will admit, I am biased toward BSD. It does things differently than Linux, and in my opinion is a lot easier to use and administrate. It also supports native service jails, which Linux just does not do. This was a big selling point for my Apache httpd server. That's why I think we should also have a FreeBSD forum here in addition to a Linux one.
