I fowarded my ports but...

I have forwarded my ports to allow bittorrent downloads already. Ive have gotten up to 150/kbs on a particular download before, so I know it worked. But Im trying to download something that has 25-50 seeds, and I can only get 1-3 kbs. Is there anything I can do to speed this up? Im not sure why its going so slowl.
