finished mpegs are cropped

i have an avi of a dvd-rip which when i convert to mpeg using tmpgenc and following the instructions on vladd44 the finished file has the edges cut off. what do i need to change on the settings so the mpeg is widescreen/letterbox. thanks.

i have tried that but still get the same problem. what do i need to select to get the mpeg in the original widescreen same as on the avi?

You need to select "Full Screen keep aspect ratio" on the video tab, which is what is specified in the guide that i gave you above.
