File amount downloaded greater than size of file? How?

I'm using the azureus client and it reports that for a 1.2 GB file I'm attempting to download that it's downloaded 1.4GB and yet it's only 25% complete. What's going on? Am I really going to have do download 6GB just to get a 1GB file??

BitTorrent files are broken into smaller pieces. There are times that you get a piece that fails the hash check. If it fails, it is dropped and re-downloaded.

But if your getting that sort of problem, I would guess its either a NAT (is your router on dmz??) or a connection problem in general.

How about some connection/computer details.
