ESCNDV.EXE Bad Image...HELP PLEASE~

Hi I hope someone here can help me ... something happend to my puter and now I cant open alot of my shhhhhhhhhhi t... I cant scan or up pic from my cam to my puter? I tried system restore and it will not let me go back to far and were I could go back to it did not fix it ... here is what it says when I try to use my scaner
( the application or DLL Cwindowssystem32sti.dll is not a valid windows image. please check this against your installation diskette)
If someone can please help me with this I will bow down and kiss your feet I dont know much about computers so please be ez on me Thanks

Try inserting your installation CD in CD ROM & in Run Box type cmd hit Enter or OK then in command window type sfc/scannow This should fix any missing files. Takes a few minutes & best to close all running applications first (can't fix files in use)

HI and Thank You for your help .... like I said Im newbe to computers ,,,, what installation CD do I need ,,,, is it the microsoft cd that came with the computer or ? if its the cd that came with my scaner I treid reinstalling the scaner and it still will not work ... I do hope to hear from you soon again Im going to be siting here all day .... BTY,,,, THAT SOME PIC YOU HAVE THERE....cute kid

HI ... I got my puter working now Im so happy ...
