What software are you using to copy (burn) it? By disk I assume you mean cdr. Is it a vcd, svcd, dvd mpeg? And how are you burning it? If it is a vcd you need to use the video cd selection, if it's svcd you need to burn it as super video cd. In order for me to help you I need more information.

Well I'm not sure whether you mean windows media player or windows media encoder, but never mind, as that won't help you with video. You have a bit to read up on I think, it would make it easier than for me to explain everything to you here. You need to obtain some sort of burning software, like Nero Burning Rom, NTI or Roxio, etc. You actually should have gotten some sort of burning software with your cdwriter. Anyway, you can read about burning video files here:

http://www.rita.lt/video_tools/help/burning.htm

But I also strongly suggest that you do a bit of background reading on video. You can get a pretty good overview by going to this link and reading the section "FOR NEWBIES."
