downloading discographys

hi all..i have a question for you...i am after a couple of seperate nick cave albums..but i can only get the albums if i download the complete nick cave discography containing about 20 albums..is there a way of omitting the files i dont want and just being able to download the 2 albums i do want..the discography file is about 1gb but i only need 200mb worth of mp3 out of it..you can see my dilemma..its a bit of a waste of my download limit getting a whole gigabyte of files only to use 200 mb of them..please help if anyone knows or if its even possible to do...cheers all and good site by the way...tsoprano

Depending on the client you use.

I know for windows BitComet will allow you to choose what files or folders you wish to dl.

Ktorrent works for linux as well.

Azureus works for multiple platforms.

There are a host of others that would allow this as well, but off the top of my head I do not recall specifics. If you are still having trouble when I get back home, I will try to make a short list of clients that do what you are looking for.

OFC all of this is inaccurate if the files are in one big rar, but as long as they are individual files in the torrent, either of the fore-mentioned clients should do the trick.

thanks for your reply mate...i am using bittorrent..ive never had no problems with it so ive stuck with it..do you know if i have the option to do what you have said on the bittorrent client..ts

If the tracker doesn't list the individual albums I don't think any client will allow you to pick them out of a Discography.
