divx or xvid to dvd

hi could someone please advise
i have downloaded lots of good films from winmx which are divx or xvid
is it poss to transfer these movies to a dvd disc so that i could play them
on a stand alone dvd player,and then be able to watch them on tv

There are quiet a few different ways to go about it and most involve 2 or 3 processes before burning to dvd. The easiest way for me was to purchase a program called AVSVideoconverter to switch file back to mpeg and burn to disk with vcdeasy. AVSVideoconverter is about as close to a one button program as you can get. lol Peace
