Scientists in the US say they are a step closer to developing materials that could render people invisible.

Researchers at the University of California in Berkeley have developed a material that can bend light around 3D objects making them "disappear".

The materials do not occur naturally but have been created on a nano scale, measured in billionths of a metre.

The team says the principles could one day be scaled up to make invisibility cloaks large enough to hide people.

I have no clue how you managed to make a thread about cloaking technology into a sermon, i wonder what you thought about the motor car, the telephone, the microwave, etc, perhaps they are evidence of satan at work?

If you want to talk about the US development of cloaking technology, the bending of light, and/or the implications of this on the battlefield, or indeed other uses, then fine, go for it, else get outta my thread, before i boot you out of it, there are more than enough pointless religious drivel threads for you to yak on.

Now, back to the topic.

Seems to be this sort of development would rather suit the kinda of military operations the US and others are currently finding themselves in, Iraq & Afganistan. Can you imagine how potent this technology would, we could see the US adopting the usual shock and awe air assults, followed by mulitple small teams of cloaked soldiers air dropped in for S&D operation behind enemy lines. Street warefare would suddenly become a whole lot more winable for US forces currently stuggling.

You can only imagine what taliban operators would think trying to defend against invisable soldiers.
